Complex Trauma & PTSD
For the survival patterns that outlived the danger — hypervigilance, shutdown, flashbacks, and the sense that your inner world is never quiet.
Rather than focusing on what's "wrong" with you, I view symptoms as adaptive responses to life experiences and work to understand them with curiosity and compassion.
Healing happens when we feel safe enough to reconnect with ourselves — with our bodies, our stories, and the parts of us that have been carrying so much for so long.
What it looks like
You might recognize this.
Trauma isn't only the event — it's everything your nervous system learned to do to survive it. That can show up as:
- A body that feels always on, or always shut down.
- Reactions that feel much bigger — or smaller — than the moment calls for.
- Trouble sleeping, concentrating, or feeling present with the people you love.
- A background hum of shame, self-doubt, or "there's something wrong with me."
None of this means you're broken. It means your system did what it needed to do.
How we work
Paced, embodied, relational.
We build safety and orient to your nervous system before we go anywhere near the hardest material. From that foundation, we draw on somatic therapy, EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Internal Family Systems as they fit you.
The pace is yours. You'll always know why we're doing what we're doing.
Who this is for
Adults across Pennsylvania and Arizona.
I work with adults only, via secure telehealth in Pennsylvania and Arizona — with a soft spot for folks in Bucks and Montgomery County. There is no physical office.
Individual therapy is the most common way in. Some clients also add a private intensive when they want to focus deeply on one piece.
Common questions
What people ask.
- Do I need a diagnosis to work on trauma?
- No. Many people carry the imprint of trauma without ever being formally diagnosed. If it's shaping your life, it's worth exploring.
- Will I have to retell everything that happened?
- Not on my terms — on yours. Trauma therapy is paced, and much of the work happens with what's here now in your body and system, not through retelling.
- What does telehealth trauma therapy look like?
- Secure video from a private space of your choosing. We build safety, orient to your nervous system, and use somatic work, EMDR, IFS, and other approaches as they fit.
- How long does trauma therapy take?
- It depends on your history, your resources, and your goals. Complex trauma work is generally longer-arc; intensives can help you focus deeply in shorter windows.
